Available in single-gear, shifter, and DD2 configurations, this version features a refreshed livery and introduces several innovations developed through the collaboration between the Tony Kart Racing Team and OTK Kart Group's R&D department.
Winning Tradition
The Racer embodies the winning spirit of Tony Kart. Since its inception in 2000, this model's various iterations have amassed 10 world titles (including two in OK and KZ categories, won in 2021) and numerous other international titles across all classes. The new 401 RR continues this legacy of success with multiple product upgrades and refinements. Key enhancements include the new M10 fairing kit and adjustments to improve the driving position. Aesthetically, the new sticker kit and the M7 number plate spoiler are now presented in green. M10 Fairing Kit - Sculpted by the Wind
OTK Kart Group's R&D department has spent years refining the aerodynamics of its products through CFD simulations and extensive wind tunnel testing. This effort led to the introduction of the M7 number plate spoiler, known for its innovative design that reduces aerodynamic drag, thereby boosting performance. The M7 now combines with the new M10 fairing kit to further enhance the Racer 401 RR’s aerodynamic profile. The streamlined side bumpers aid in cooling the rear tires by reducing weight, while the front spoiler and width-adjustable rear protection conform to the latest FIA regulations. Additionally, the “integral” floor plate, carried over from the previous Racer 401 R model, further optimizes aerodynamic efficiency.
World Title-Winning Brake System
As with its predecessor, the single-speed Racer 401 RR is equipped with the BSD braking system, developed by OTK Kart Group. This system, used on the karts that won the 2020 and 2021 OK and OKJ world titles, features a single-piece forged rear brake caliper with a stroke recovery system, equipped with two D. 34.5 mm pistons. It is paired with a two-piston brake pump and stainless steel braided PTFE brake line. The caliper and brake pump are crafted from Ergal, a high-strength material that, when treated with hard oxidation, minimizes wear on moving parts.
Maximum Comfort on Track
Driver comfort is essential, and OTK Kart Group's R&D department is dedicated to implementing continuous improvements, down to the smallest details. The Racer 401 RR now allows for greater adjustability in the footrest and includes new seat supports. The HGS steering wheel, carried over from the previous 401 R model, features high-grip rubber grips, significantly enhancing driver feel and control. The steering wheel is mounted on an angled hub, ensuring a fully ergonomic driving position.
A World Champion in Performance
OTK Kart Group's commitment to using only the highest quality materials and precision machining processes guarantees that every component meets the highest standards. This commitment is especially critical for KZ braking systems, a category in which Tony Kart won the world championship and was runner-up in 2021. Braking performance is crucial in this class, and the BSS system, featuring monobloc calipers (front with four D. 22 mm pistons and rear with two D. 34.5 mm pistons), has proven itself as the technical benchmark. With the Racer 401 RR, Tony Kart now offers a second braking system for shifter categories, known as the BSZ, which provides enhanced braking modulation. For the DD2 version, however, the BSS system remains the standard.
